Pope Benedikt XVI

For five years, from 1977 to 1982, Munich was home to Pope Benedikt XVI. During that time he was archbishop of Munich and Freising, but before he also lived in Munich as student, chaplain and priest. Between September 9th and 14th 2006 the Pope is visiting Munich and Bavaria.
